Leadership Cleburne
Leadership Cleburne County:
Building Bridges to the Future. Cleburne County has an active Community Leadership Program, supported by the chamber of commerce and organized and managed by the Cleburne County Extension System representatives. It is generously sponsored by numerous area businesses. Leadership Cleburne County (LCC), like most community leadership programs, is aimed at area leaders and emerging leaders and provides expanded knowledge of the community. The program stresses the necessity of teamwork, the value of networking and gives a greater awareness of community issues. It is a 9-month mandatory attendance program and classes are limited to 15 students. While it is scheduled for one day a month, many hours are required for completion. Reading assignments, reports and field activities are part of the curriculum. LCC is an excellent program for long-time residents and newcomers alike. At the end of the year, the students have a better understanding of what makes Cleburne County a fine place to live, work and play.
